I'm going to post to my blog friend "A Novelist" and tell her to read your blog and vice versa. She lives in NY now, but is from Seattle and I bet would have a TON of great ideas for ya!!!!!!Her blog is seattleite69.blogspot.comMy own personal recommendation (and I don't know how close this is to campus) but it is a seattle landmark and institution and so you have to go there for lunch or shopping or something if you can, is Pike Street Market. It's in downtown Seattle.
Thanks! I will def. check out her site.
http://www.uvillage.com/ . Check out this website. This (outdoor) mall is across the main drag from the baseball field/football stadium. They've got great shops and restaraunts.
Dawn--this is great! Thank you. I am super excited to see that I will be near Roseanna's store. Yeah!!
Hi! I am originally from Seattle and got your blog link from Kim (kigogal).Dawn is right about U. Village. The outdoor mall has all the latest shops! If you want a really authentic Seattle coffee house, try Cafe Allegro:http://seattle.citysearch.com/profile/10781125/It's located a few blocks away from the UW campus and it's a casual cafe serving great coffee and even better desserts! The exposed brick walls make it a cozy place to rest. :)Pike Place Market is a fantastic place to get local merchandise, good food and gaze a great views - however, it's in downtown Seattle (but on the way to Sea/Tac Airport - LOL). Hope this helped. :)
I've never been to Seattle but I hope you have fun!
